Thoughts Transform: Let Your Faith Shine

Let your faith shine through!Today, in the spirit of #ThoughtfulThursday, I bring you the first of many posts on thoughts that may transform your outlook or enjoyment of life.

Last week Maya Angelou, one of my all time favorite activists and poets, was called home to glory.  What I loved most about Dr. Angelou, was her unwavering ability to have faith in people, no matter the circumstance.  Her faith was more than just a personal source of strength, courage, opportunity, love, determination, pride, imagination, creativity, and success, it also kindled the fire of the same for so many others.

In the spirit of Dr. Angelou, my grandmother, and the many others who have gone home to glory, I will ardently work to “let my faith shine through” every day and I hope you will do the same!  I have come to believe, wholeheartedly in the power of positive thinking (another T).  Faith in positive outcomes can help you see the beauty in every situation and life lesson.  Faith is more than the whim of an optimistic dreamer it is a guiding light, a manifestation of love, trust, and connection with all that is seen and unseen.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  (Hebrews 11:1, KJV).

So let your faith shine through and joy is soon to follow!

Share your thought(s) after the T!

Love,
T

Best of 2018 part 1: For The People (just a few of them). To say this year has been easy would be lying— my faith was certainly put to the test. I was pushed, stretched, and challenged in so many ways. I experienced some amazing highs and a lot of lows. A good chunk of the year I was in a funk I didn’t think i’d escape, but God. I leave 2018 whole, happy, encouraged, motivated and inspired all due to some of the amazing people I met. Thank you to each of you for helping me grow this year. #Bestof2018 #thisismyyear #Bye2018 #NYE

Tis the season for scholarship, dress-up and gifting. Last night I had an amazing time with my sorors at @apalachinalumnaedst Give the Gift of Education Gala. Kudos to the planning committee, it was truly a beautiful event! Thanks to all of the Binghamton University students that attended, hope you enjoy your final exam gift. That time when you are featured on the news for being joyous, wild and free in your Ugly Sweater. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. #uglysweatercontest #WeAreBinghamton
A Queen, wild and free. #symbolrightnow
I woke with the urge to share, so here it goes! 🤷🏽‍♀️😚 • • My work home— @mrcbinghamton. I am indeed so proud of what you’ve become in such a short time. It’s only been a year and we’ve had thousands of visits, opened our prayer room, hosted a plethora of cultural organization programs, expanded our student employment opportunities, added collaborations with UCC and Fleishman, added electronic check-in, and so much more. • • Bing we’re open from 9am-12am for Final Exam Extended Hours, today through Dec. 14th— come study with us. 📝📚📓💯 • • And, to all my favorite MRC & Bing alumni, come back and visit. You will love this place. 😉💚 • #WeAreBinghamton #ForTheCulture
